The irons for both planes were made from pieces of worn-out
Stanley plane irons.
The last photo shows where I made the cuts in the iron to
extract a little blade. I figured that out first and then made a
whole series of planes into which these little blades fit
perfectly. It saved lots of time because I did not have to do
much cutting or grinding to make the blades.
